Fair Isle Sweater (similar plus-size option) // High-waisted Jeans // Pleather Tote (Grey/Taupe) // Booties (similar) (similar) // Liquid Lipstick-"Icon" (My hands down favorite of all time) |
Hope you all had an amazing and refreshing holiday season! Despite it being pretty dang cold, I love this time of year-the air is crisp and it's a new year with so much energy and hope for things ahead! Plus, there's rumors of snow and I'd love another day at home!
I know a lot of folks are taking this time to post there resolutions, but I don't know that I'm much for resolutions; I'd really rather call them goals-"Goals are dreams with deadlines", Diana Scharf. That quote seems to resonate with me more and more with each passing year. I'm taking the magic and motivation of this new year and I'm working on bringing you more of the content that you want to read. I sat down with one of my best friends today and we brainstormed some ideas that I'm pretty excited about. But, if there's anything you'd like to see, shoot me a message! I've been trying to kick things in to a higher gear for a couple months, but the holiday season in my job is nuts! Anyway...on to this sweater, because its not getting warmer anytime soon & sizes are going fast now that its under $30!
This whole outfit is just something comfy and cute that you can throw on and look put together-pretty much how I try to live life. It's all started with this sweater which is so warm, but not overwhelming. It's true to size, but I'd go up one if you prefer a looser fit. The Fair Isle print is a classic! It's not everywhere, but its a timeless print that you can wear for years. It's wool, Acrylic, & Nylon, so warm and cozy with a bit of stretch. I machine wash and lay flat to dry, but the Air Dry cycle on the dryer has worked out well for me and then I let my sweaters dry flat for the remainder. As you might have expected, I went with my dark wash (flatters everyone) skinny jeans and some grey booties. My tote bag has pretty much become an extension of my arm at this point and I never expected to get so much use when I bought it!
Since the topic of this tote came up... my tote bag is probably one of my best investments. It's under $100, Vegan leather, reversible, and comes with an inner pouch that you can use as a separate bag. It's held up really well, because it does get tossed around quite a bit.
Well, enough rambling! Wishing you all a Happy New Year!
Cheers to 2018,
Ashley
