On this installment of my "Fitting Room Chronicles", I'm diving in to some of my picks from Old Navy's Spring styles. I love that they're affordable, accessible, and offer petite & tall sizing. I usually try on in-store and buy online since the sales are often a little better. Scroll on down to see all the details. |
LOVE this pairing for Spring!

Old Navy is one of my favorite place for Graphic Tees! Good quality, great prices, & very comfy! There are so many options under $10 now!

Lemon Crew-Neck Sweater
To be completely honest, sweaters here are not usually my favorite. It's one area where I feel the quality could be better. They are warm and nice fitting, but they just get a worn/slightly faded look rather quickly with washing and wearing.
I do like this one, and it was actually my reason for going in store. I couldn't resist the print! If you'd like something whimsical and fun that may not last forever, this is a cute option. I'm wearing the XS on the left and S on the right. I like how the XS fits through the body, but even on my small arms, they were a little snug. My friend Nancy is 5'6" and opted for a medium in the "tall" length ad it fits her perfectly. If I didn't have such a short torso, I believe the small would have been perfect for me.
These jeans are awesome! They have great stretch and are so easy to move in! I couldn't tell you if they stretch out with wear though. I didn't love all of the distressing, but I'm probably grabbing these without all the distressing, so I'll keep you posted-find that option here. I'm always a fan of a mid-rise pant, and they do fit true-to-size, but it comes down to preference as far as sizing. My normal size is very fitted, but I wear a lot of long tops. I'd probably go up a size for a more work appropriate version.
This shirt is not the highest quality button-down, but it's lightweight and ideal for the warmer months. It's not meant to last forever, but it's so fun! On my shorter frame, I prefer it tucked in. I'm 5'4" with a shorter torso, so anyone taller should consider the tall option, and they do have a petite as well. The pic on their website makes it look sheer, but I was wearing a printed bra that day and you couldn't tell-sorry if that's TMI. :) I'm usually pretty true to an XS at Old Navy, but I like the slightly looser fit of the small-which is what I'm wearing in the pics.
This dress
is just an easy piece to throw on. It runs true-to-size, but they only
had the small in stock and it’s a little loose on me, especially under the
arms. The tie-sleeve detail is adorable, and it's gathered a little in
the back for a more flattering fit. This would be perfect with a denim
jacket or cargo vest! It's a nice soft rayon material.
I love yellow, but it's not a great color for me, so I like incorporating it in as an accent, like in these floral sneakers and striped cardigan. I'm wearing it with a simple black tank, but I picture it with a Chambray shirt or t-shirt dress. I find this length on the regular to be perfect for me, as I like my cardigans to cover my bum, so I can wear the with leggings. In true Old Navy fashion, they also offer Tall & Petite. They call this color "Lime Stripe" online, but it's definitely a Mustard Yellow in person.
Mid-rise Pixie Pant These are an ideal basic for those in a Business Casual office. You can wear your normal size or a size up, because they have quite a bit of stretch. They are a comfortable dress pant and a versatile ankle length for those that love flats and/or heels! They carry these year-round and are always switching up the solid and print options. |
These sneakers are a must! I have a pink pair from last year and they are so comfortable! These have memory foam insoles and are one of my top three picks from Old Navy. I'm obsessed with this floral and the amazing Cactus Print, but they have very versatile solids as well. True-to-size and my top pick!

Jumpsuit
This jumpsuit was a surprise to me. I was afraid the cropped length would look silly on me, but I think this would be cute with a nice wedge. This would also be an adorable swimsuit cover-up and there's a tie-waist to customize the fit. |
