Hey fashionistas!
Ok, so the Nordstrom Sale opens to the public tomorrow and my big order arrived last night! I ordered quite a bit (way too much) and unfortunately, a good chunk will be going back. I was so hopeful & excited about some pieces that looked amazing in pictures, but just did not work for me (the adorable Topshop cardigans had me swimming in them)! Basically, I wanted to round up for you my Top 5 picks from the sale. These are what I believe to be the best quality & value. Each piece is also under $50! I'm not sponsored (a girl can dream) or affiliated with Nordstrom; these are my honest to goodness true recommendations.
**If something is out of stock, it may be restocked, so add it to your favorites bar or wish list and check back!**
Halogen//Topshop Jamie Jeans |
1. Articles of Society Jeans- This was my first purchase of these and I'm in love. I bought a distressed pair in blue AND went back for the black, which are a gorgeous rich/deep black). These are incredibly soft and the comfort and feel definitely rival the designer brands in the sale. Also, if you have a Nordstrom Rack nearby, I saw a bunch of them in blue denim this week and they're a few dollars less than they are in the #nsale. They are pretty true-to-size, but you can actually size down to be more fitted and they have a lot of stretch. $38.90 (sold out, may re-stock or check Nordstrom Rack link above)
2. Halogen Tunic Tee- I've seen so many people post and gush about the Lush tees, but I thought they were a little sheer in some colors. These Halogen tees are soft, stretchy, body skimming without being tight, and the v neck is just right ( I find so many to be too low!) I actually sized down in this and love the fit. For me, the regular length is great for leggings and completely covers my butt; I could have worn the petite as well. $19.90 ($29 after the sale)
3. Dreamers By Debut-After purchasing one of these sweaters last year, I knew I'd need another. These beauties are so cozy and soft (noticing a theme?). I purchased the tan, but its more cream/ivory and easy to pair with other pieces. These run true-to size. $29.90 ($49 after the sale)
4. BP Rib Stitch Cardigan- These are such a value-$31.90 and great quality. It's not a lose knit, because I feel those pill and catch on things too easily. I loved the green and went back for the gray-here. They are better quality than last year's and are long enough for leggings and dresses. *I recommend going one size down.
5. Topshop Embroidered Jamie Jeans- If you like jeans that fits like a legging, then this is your match! Now I get the hype! These are honestly like a jean/legging hybrid. These ended right at my ankle (I'm 5'4") and are high waisted. I feel like it sucks you in. If you don't want the leg hugging fit, I say size up. The embroidery is a bit trendy, but I'm a sucker for embroidery and these are a value in the sale for $49.90 ($75 after the sale).
You may notice that I didn't get any shoes. Every year there are usually a pair or two that I just can't live without. This year, though tempted by these beautiful Halogen mules & Tory Burch sandals-5 color options, I decided to wait and find some less expensive options. Next year though, I plan on investing in my first Tory Burch sandals-maybe the Miller? Is there a style you recommend?
