Straw Hat//Bardot Style Dress//Red Mules |
Oh. My. Goodness. I'll spare ya'll the details, but I feel like it's been a chaotic couple of weeks. I've had some close friends going through tough stuff and I've had to deal with some toxic people (we've all been there). I'm hoping things are starting to settle down. I decided to do a deep clean/purge and it's honestly helping me feel better, but it's hard to tear myself away because I want it done before I lose motivation. Enough about that, I'm going to jump in and share with you one of my favorite looks from two weeks ago, that I wore while enjoying some Virginia wines-this past month was not all bad!
I picked up these shoes in the Nordstrom sale after much debate ( I said I didn't need shoes-typical) and I haven't looked back. I've come to realize that I wear a lot of neutrals and it's the perfect pop to add a red shoe. Dorothy wood approve. ;) Plus, red is so classic! I'm sure you're most curious about that main attraction, this darling dress from TARGET! I haven't always been in love with their clothing and shoes, but they have really been stepping it up! The WhoWhatWear line is such a big win. All my fellow shorties, don't worry, because this dress can work for you too (I'm only 5'4"!). I just suggest pairing something like this with a heel. Also, I'm wearing the dress off the shoulder in the pictures, but the ruffle also sits beautifully up on the shoulders if you'd like to make it work appropriate. I always recommend a good black dress, but there is also an Olive Green option if you want to stand out a bit.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to get back to my mess and hopefully finishing up today, so I can enjoy the weekend! My aunt and cousin are coming to visit and I couldn't be more excited! I'm going to leave you with this amazing view from King Family Vineyards.
Cheers!
Ashley
